OMRON mobile robots are autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) designed to dramatically increase productivity in manufacturing and logistics operations. LD-250: The strongest member of the LD family

OMRON introduces the LD-250, the latest automated mobile robot with a payload capacity of 250 kg. The LD-250 is based on the same tested-and-proven technology used in the industry-leading LD-90. LD-250 can be upgraded to double its usual payload from 250 kg up to 500 kg by integrating into a Cart Transporter version.
It allows customers to load larger and heavier payloads, making fewer trips with heavier batches, ultimately increasing return on investment. You can do more with less equipment.

Technology

500 kg payload capacity under Cart Transporter configuration

LD-250 can be upgraded to double its usual payload from 250 kg up to 500 kg by integrating into a Cart Transporter version.Thanks to the cell alignment solution the LD-250 can detect and align with the cart and to pick it up smoothly.It allows the possibility to move the carts manually if needed increasing the flexibility.

Robust Navigation

If the operating environment changes dramatically (in warehouses and busy factories where objects such as pallets and carts frequently change locations), Acuity provides an additional method of “localization” to the on-board laser. It identifies overhead lights and overlays the “light map” with the “floor map”. It also allows mobile robots to move easily across wide-open areas in large warehouses.

Safety

Our mobile robots are safety rated. They use on-board lasers and other sensors to detect obstacles on their moving path and, based on speed of travel, they trigger E-stop to prevent vehicle collision into objects on their path.

    Mobile Robots - Dynamic Obstacle Tracking

    Avoid collisions and employ safer passage in the warehouse. Allows for smoother motion around pedestrian traffic, forklifts, or any other moving vehicles. The tracking algorithm projects the path of moving objects in the same space as the robot to avoid collisions and traffic jams. Our mobile platform is available to developers for custom applications and payloads. It includes our proprietary self-navigation software, which is ideal for use in crowded environments, tight hallways, and applications where a compact automated vehicle is advantageous. Our partners and payload developers enjoy access to a reliable drive system, an on-board power supply, automated self-charging, and I/O for integrating payload hardware onto the mobile platform.

ESD model

The ESD robot is designed for complex production environments allowing you to expand your automated material handling applications while staying protected. Designed to provide protection for your Electrostatic Discharge Sensitive (ESDS) products.
The ESD skins create a protective shield around the robot that not only protect your investment, but they also safely dissipate static energy to the ground. With the LD-250 ESD mobile robot, we provide a safe solution for handling static sensitive components.
  • 250kg payload capacity.
  • Joint protection for your “Electrostatic Discharge Sensitive (ESDS)” products and the LD-250 robot.
  • 100% compatible with the standard LD-250 autonomous mobile robot.
